The statues of Peppone and Don Camillo are taking a short break from Brescello’s main square, maybe, they are tired of this heat wave too.

The bronze statues of the priest and mayor have been temporarily removed and placed in a safe location for a good reason: some scenes from the new film ‘Giovannino Guareschi’ by Andrea Porporati will be filmed in Brescello, starting from September. An Anele production in collaboration with Emilia-Romagna Film Commision, that will be aired on Rai1 in 2025.
